The Annual Christmas Tag!

Yay! It’s my favorite time of year and I was tagged by the creator, Lanaya over at Raising Reagan, of the Annual Christmas Tag! Learning about your favorite bloggers and friends has never been easier than with the Christmas tag. In short, once tagged, you tag 10 additional people to answer the questions too!

I’ve been tagged twice! Check out Kera at Nugget on a Budget too!Christmas Tag

So here I go!

1.       What do you love the most about Christmas time?

Almost everything! I love the cold, the family, the presents, the tree, the lights, the songs, the Christmas programs, the holiday programs, caroling… i could go on and on. I love the REASON for the season, even if you don’t believe in God, these festivities stemmed from our belief in Christ. You can read the stories about the convoluted past. I believe in Jesus Christ and celebrating his birth. What I don’t love is fighting and the commercialization of it all. It started around Halloween this year, right? Next year, what? Labor Day?

2.       Do you celebrate the holiday in style or is Bah-Humbug for you?

In Style! It’s never been the style that I’ve truly wanted because we rented before and my husband refused to do anything that he might have to undo when leaving. Now that we own (yay us!), I’ll be getting him out there to do some things. Although we just moved, so it may not be this year, but I’ll definitely take pictures if I can get it done!

3.       Are you leaving anything out for Santa Claus this year so he remembers to leave your presents?

I can neither confirm or deny the existence of Santa. I don’t write “From” on the presents and I let the children believe whatever they want. Considering my eldest is getting to the age that he doesn’t believe, and my daughter doesn’t understand yet, Santa will probably not hit our household this year.

4.       What is the one gift you are most looking forward to GIVING? {It can be to your kids, another family member, etc – remember to be discreet if they read your blog!}

I’m not quite sure, but the InnoTab 3s to my daughter. She has used and abused all of our cell phones and I’m ready to give her her own little all-in-one device for taking pictures and playing games. The cops will arrest us the next time they come to our house!

You can even set up your Android device to send texts to and from the Innotab! I’ll let you know how well ot works.

5.       What is your all-time favorite Christmas movie?

As much as I love Christmas, I don’t get that into the Christmas movies. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them all. From A Christmas Story, to the Miracle on 34th Street and the Charlie Brown Christmas, I just love watching them over the season.

6.       What is your all-time favorite Christmas song?

Now that’s a different story. I LOVE Carol of the Bells also know as Silver Bells. It’s so pretty, just makes me think of the chimes of Christmas. There are so many great other mentionables… like Mariah Carey’s entire Christmas album. Honestly, I normally listen to the Christmas music station nonstop so there is no song that I DON’T like. I love the fact that it’s the one time of year that we cross genres and eras… from the 20s to current, instrumental to rock, old and new songs, revamped and redone!

7.       If given the opportunity would you participate in an “Ugly Sweater” party and what sweater would you wear?  Peruse one on the internet or even in your own closet and show us!

Sure! Why not? Just another reason to love Christmas! Hmmm, but how ugly cab I get? I don’t own an ugly sweater, so it’ll be something like this:

8.       Have you started any Christmas traditions this year that you plan on carrying forward?

I want to start a tree trimming party tradition. Having the only little kids in the immediate family, I want us all to trim the tree, read some bible verses, drink hot cocoa and peppermint tea, and help decorate the tree. Right now, I do it with my husband, and I want to expand it.

9.       It’s Christmas morning … what does it look like outside where you live?

A beautifully simple Christmas tree, presents spilling out all around, smells of breakfast in the kitchen! I don’t have a set menu, but this year, I’m thinking pumpkin themed!

10.   You just found yourself standing under the mistletoe … who comes up to give you a kiss first?

It better be my husband or it won’t be a Merry Christmas!

What I love most about reading this kind of a post is just how much I learn about my friends. And I'm honored that you thought to tag me.

I wish you love and joy and happiness in your new home.

    1. So far, so good. I wish I would've had more done before Christmas. 🙂 I'll be by to read more about your Christmas traditions too!

  3. What a great concept! I love learning about fellow bloggers beyond what they normally mention in their blog posts. I loved learning about you in a very personal way.

That sounds like such a nice tradition with the Christmas trees. I was laughing at the answer to your last question about the kiss haha! Looks like I did this wrong! I forgot to mention you and I didn't tag anyone! 🙁 I wanted to get the post up and man oh man, you know it's been tough to blog these past few weeks. I hope you all really enjoyed your Christmas. Looking forward to see how you decorate the new house in the coming years 🙂

    1. No, it's whoever you want… even the baby! xoxo It's all good. You know, the truth is, life is life. Having a child, and being pregnant, is a wonderful and sometimes taxing thing. So, do what you have to do! I really enjoyed it, much more than I thought I would! Thank you! I hope you did too!
